Managing Your Expectations

We were lucky at the weekend to score a couple of tickets to the ireland Australia match

I took Sam along for his first international.
When I told him he rockier knee slid across the kitchen floor in excitement.
Anyhow they were top seats and we were both really stoked.
So we get there and we are pitch level – literally eyeballing Brian O Driscoll
as we line up the for the NAtional Anthems.
And that was that. the result wasn’t great but Sam had an absolute ball.
The thing is this being his first experience of going to an international – the bar has been set.
I am in trouble.
What ‘no pitch side seats?’
Or being eye level with the players?
I would hate to get him a ticket seating further back (although one thing my kids do know is gratitude)
Anyhow to the point…..
You have to manage expectations when you are first starting out on the fitness road.
Most folks when they come to us lose a tone of fat straight up.
Then things start to level out then it is up to us as coaches to ensure that this never happens.
But it will.
If it was linear progression you would probably be wasted away by now.
So manage your expectations. Start slow, enjoy the journey and feel better day by day. It works.

We are having a DJ come to our facility in our first ever DJ Decks ‘n’ All Charity Workout Exeprience FRIDAY 29th November 7pm-8pm.
For one hour we will be putting the furnace on fat with some great tunes.
I just hope that that ‘fox’ tune that bugs the shi*e out of me is off the play list.
It is free for our awesome clients – a measly €10 on the night if you are not a client with all funds going to the Uber awesome charity Laura Lynn.
Tell your friends, family and whoever. They are more than welcome and ALL levels are catered for.
