Spotlight of the Month – Peter

As a regular gym goer for years Peter just wasn’t seeing any return. Like others it became an expensive habit with nothing to show for it. Like most gyms, he was unsure what to do, particularly with his training and diet, if he wanted to see any kind of progress.

 

I had been going to commercial gyms for a few years, 3-5 days a week, but wasn’t seeing the results i had expected. The support the I got at Sphere taught me what i was doing wrong in terms of diet and once i knew what and how much to eat i started seeing results very quickly.

 

So many of us caught thinking that a gym visit is enough when in reality it is only the beginning. There needs to be guidance on coaching, exercise technique, programme design and nutrition coaching.

 

The 2 biggest benefits are the help with the diet and also the support from the trainers, they keep an eye on you to ensure you are doing each exercise right and update any training programs on a regular basis so you don’t plateau and get bored of exercising. This is something i had not seen in the other gyms was a member in.

 

Peter has maintained a consistent and regular approach to both his training and diet, receiving regular feedback and monitoring from Bodychecks and a gradual progression in his training from doing no chin ups to banging out multiple reps and moving his strength levels up. His body has changed with a shift from body fat to lean muscle gain

 

My goal when i started was to lose body fat and tone up without necessarily losing much weight. While i have only lost 2kg weight since starting with Sphere, I’ve gone from 22% to 15% body fat and toned up a lot and feel great.

 

Peter is our spotlight of the month and is rewarded for his quiet and steely determined and consistent approach to his training.
